Overview
Tyler Frankel, born and raised in Fort Worth Texas, has extensive experience working with her clients to develop strategies through dispute processes, including trial, arbitration, and mediation. With nearly a decade of immersive practice in construction litigation, Tyler honed her skills at an Am Law 100 law firm before joining Griffith Davison. She has solidified her expertise in all stages of the legal process, from pre-trial preparation to post-judgment collection and enforcement, in both state and federal courts throughout Texas.
Tyler earned her Juris Doctorate from Texas Tech School of Law where she was an editor of the Texas Tech Law Review. Tyler has focused her practice on providing exceptional legal counsel to clients in the construction industry. She is committed to understanding her clients’ goals and strongly advocating on their behalf.
When she is not solving legal problems, Tyler enjoys skiing, traveling, and spending time with friends and family, including her beloved French bulldog.
Construction Disputes
- Assisted with the representation of an owner in complex construction arbitration against a general contractor, involving claims of property damage, delays, and defective work, and defending against allegations of escalation costs on a multi-tenant industrial cold storage facility in Dallas, Texas.
- Assisted with the representation of a general contractor in multiple lawsuits against subcontractors on various projects throughout North Texas, involving complex multi party construction defects and payment issues.
- Assisted with the representation of a general contractor in claims against several owners for non-payment, unresolved change orders, and retainage issues on projects across North Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex, while also defending against owner claims of delay, defective work, and sequencing problems.
- Assisted with the representation of a large earthwork subcontractor in litigation and arbitration—along with an appeal—against an owner and general contractor concerning delays and extra-contractual work on a lake and earthen dam project in Texas.
Employment & Trade Litigation
- Assisted in the defense of multiple affiliated restaurants in federal lawsuits in Texas and Oklahoma, involving alleged violations of minimum-wage requirements under the FLSA.
